Regardless of whether you choose the hot air balloon escapade, your day kicks off with a leisurely breakfast at your accommodation before delving into a comprehensive tour of North Cappadocia. This excursion includes a visit to Goreme Esentepe, offering the area’s second-best panoramic vista (if you’re not soaring in a hot air balloon). You’ll also explore the charming town of Avanos renowned for its ancient terracotta pottery, dating back to 3,000 B.C. Here, you can peruse local crafts and engage in conversation with artisans who continue to craft these exquisite pieces. The tour further encompasses visits to Goreme Open Air Museum, Monks Valley, and Devrent Valley, providing ample opportunities to delve into the rich history and natural splendor of these locales. Your knowledgeable guide will narrate the significance of these sites while allowing plenty of time for capturing memorable photographs.

Before bidding farewell to Kayseri airport for your flight to Istanbul, you’ll have a chance to unwind at your hotel. Upon arrival at the airport, our team will be eagerly awaiting to accompany you back to your accommodation in Istanbul.

Day 3 – Istanbul Old City Tour

Starting from your accommodation in Istanbul, you’ll embark on a comprehensive tour of the city’s top highlights after a rejuvenating night’s rest. This excursion covers all the must-see attractions, making it an ideal introduction to Istanbul. Your itinerary includes stops at Sultanahmet, where you’ll marvel at the iconic Blue Mosque and the magnificent Hagia Sophia. You’ll also explore the grandeur of Topkapi Palace, once the residence of Ottoman Sultans, and pay homage to Ataturk, Turkey’s inaugural president. And no visit to Istanbul is complete without a stroll through the bustling Grand Bazaar, the world’s largest covered market, where you can hone your bargaining skills.

A friendly suggestion: Once your guided tour concludes and you have some leisure time, we recommend a visit to the Spice Bazaar. Immerse yourself in the tantalizing aromas and vibrant colors of Turkish tea, spices, and sweets. While this excursion isn’t included in your tour package, it’s a delightful experience worth pursuing at your own pace. You’ll find your way back to your hotel independently.

The Grand Bazaar is closed on Sundays.
Due to Friday prayers, entry to the Blue Mosque is restricted.
Hagia Sophia is closed on Mondays.
Topkapi Palace is closed on Tuesdays.
