Day 1 : Zurich – Maienfeld – Chur

Meeting Point: Zurich City Center – Zurich Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) at 09:30 AM 

Our journey commences at Zurich Cathedral, traversing the Limmat River, passing City Hall, Parade Square, and the renowned Bahnhofstrasse. Following lunch, we’ll venture to the birthplace of the beloved character Heidi – Maienfeld. Upon arrival, you’ll have leisure time to explore the town or optionally visit Heidi’s house. We’ll spend the night in Chur or a nearby city.

Preferred Accommodation: Hotel Krone Churwalden or similar.

Day 2 : Chur – Bellinzona – Locarno – Brig

The trio of medieval fortresses in Bellinzona earned World Heritage status in 2000. Let’s explore the largest of these, the Grand Castle, and the charming town. Beneath the castle, discover quaint shops, winding cobblestone streets, elegant wrought iron balconies, and cozy eateries. Post-lunch, venture towards Locarno, famed for its annual international film festivals every August. Here, we’ll visit the renowned Piazza Grande, a sprawling open-air cinema—the world’s largest. For an optional excursion (at your expense), ascend via cable car to the sacred Mount Madonna del Sasso, a site believed to be where the Virgin Mary appeared and a hallmark of Locarno’s skyline. Accommodation awaits at a nearby mountain hotel.

Day 3 : Brig – Zermatt – Matterhorn – Montreux

Zermatt, renowned as the “smoke-free city,” offers only one mode of transportation for entry: the electric tram, with a complimentary ticket provided. As you arrive, the iconic Swiss triangular chocolate logo, the Matterhorn, greets you. Optionally, you can choose to embark on a cable car journey to the Matterhorn (at your own expense). Upon reaching the summit, marvel at the 38 alpine giants and 14 glaciers. Explore the world’s highest ice palace, adorned with stunning handmade sculptures crafted in the eternal ice. Alternatively, opt for a cable car ride to Mount Gornergrat, where a spectacular 360° viewing platform allows you to soak in panoramic vistas of the Matterhorn, the majestic peaks of the Alps, and vast glaciers. Hiking enthusiasts can enjoy a scenic 5-minute walk to Riffelsee Lake from the transfer station at Rotenboden, capturing breathtaking photos of the famous Matterhorn reflection. Accommodation will be arranged at a nearby hotel in Montreux.

Day 4 : Montreux – Lausanne – Geneva – Nyon

Nestled between Lake Geneva and imposing mountains, Chillon Castle stands as a testament to both military might and noble opulence. Meanwhile, the quaint town of Lausanne proudly bears the title of Olympic City, inviting visitors to relive thrilling moments at the Olympic Center (at their own expense). Journey onwards to Geneva, hailed as the City of Peace, hosting the European headquarters of the United Nations and boasting the birthplace of the Red Cross. Your accommodation awaits in the neighboring city of Nyon, with the B&B Hotel Nyon or a similar establishment offering a comfortable stay. Start your day with breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant, and enjoy the freedom to choose your lunch and dinner arrangements.

Day 5 : Nyon – Gruyères – Broc – Bern

Explore the picturesque town of Gruyères, dominated by its impressive 13th-century castle, a landmark visible from afar. Discover the renowned Gruyères Cheese Factory (at your own expense) to savor the aroma and taste of this legendary cheese. Then, venture to the Nestle Chocolate Factory (at own expense) for a delectable journey through Swiss chocolate-making. In the afternoon, we’ll reach Bern, known as the Swiss capital , where we’ll explore iconic sites like the majestic Swiss Federal Parliament Building and the historic Zytglogge Clock Tower, a tribute to Berthold V. Wander through the well-preserved buildings dating back to the 16th century. Our accommodation for the night will be conveniently located near Bern.

Day 6 : Bern – Lauterbrunnen – Jungfrau – Grindelwald – Bern

Explore the enchanting waterfall town of Lauterbrunnen, where over 70 cascading waterfalls adorn the cliffs. Marvel at the breathtaking vistas of the highlands before embarking on a journey to the top of Europe – Jungfrau (at your own expense). Board the train to the transfer station, then switch to the cogwheel train for an ascent to the highest train station in Europe. Here, immerse yourself in the perpetual snowscape of Jungfrau, surrounded by panoramic views of the majestic Alps. Descend by train to Grindelwald, offering a fresh perspective on Jungfrau’s splendor. Upon arrival in Grindelwald, discover a picturesque canvas nestled amidst the mountains. Enjoy leisure time before returning to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 7 : Bern – Interlaken – Brienz – Lucerne – Zurich

Experience the breathtaking natural landscapes of Switzerland as you journey along the picturesque lakesides. Lake Brienz, made famous by its appearance in the Korean Netflix series “Crash Landing on You,” offers captivating scenes against the backdrop of the Bernese Oberland’s majestic mountains. Opt for a scenic cruise on Lake Brienz (additional cost), immersing yourself in its turquoise waters.

Your adventure begins with a pick-up at Brienz Ferry Terminal, followed by a transfer to Lucerne. In Lucerne, marvel at the renowned Lion Monument, a symbol of Swiss national loyalty and bravery, intricately carved into the cliff. Stroll through the charming old streets adorned with elegant boutiques, where you can indulge in authentic Swiss chocolates and find unique souvenirs. Don’t miss the opportunity to explore famous watch shops and select exquisite Swiss timepieces.

The tour concludes in Lucerne at 19:00, with options to connect to the Green Line or Blue Line. From there, the bus will transport you to Zurich train station. Please note that accommodation is not provided for the night.

Feel free to continue your journey by joining the Green Line or Blue Line tours. Ensure that your  tour commences the day after your Switzerland tour ends, specifying your departure from Lucerne.
